About the Balkan Jungle
Follow me: my life for the last months
People I met few time ago, could be surpised to see me in Serbia, and aske me how did I get in this country... This is a long and exciting story...
so, yeah yeah, i finished my studies, ok, its only a bachelor, but yeah, i get it anyway!! wahoo, i felt clever, and also happy to end all those stupid economic studies. this was last april (2007) and it was in Sweden.
April-mai, I go to England, break up with my boyfriend (ouch!!), come back to france, cry a bit (ok, i cried a lot!), find a job in a supermarket in Luxembourg, send application for some project in Benin for the summer...
In July, I went in Ireland, was human statue, meet great people and have lots of fun there.
In august i went a bit in Spain to see a friend, we travel a bit, visit Barcelona... I come back home, and decide I maybe need to find some plan for the next year, and send application to go in Serbia for an EVS. I find, few days before to go to Benin (in september) a good project in Krusevac, a little town in Serbia. They are looking for an EVS in September, I send my application but say I could be there only in october.
September, I spend the month in Dassa, in Benin, and work with kids, play with them and read and help them to write. It was so great and amazing, I give them all my energy and they give me back their happiness and smile. I meet great artists there, and we spoke to do a project together to promute art in Benin.
When i was there, i received a positive answer for the EVS project in Serbia, so I come back end of september, have few days to unpack and pack again my bag, and here I am now.
we are in january and i am exactly in the middle of my trip in Serbia.
I learned the culture, I try to speak a bit, I met the local people of my town, I met european people all around the Balkan during an amazing training in Croatia, I spent new year eve in Croatia with a belgian friend living in Bosnia, and then I travel for 10 days around Bosnia with an italian friend...
Wahoo it is the first time I wrote the last months, and realize how much I love my life...
Now, I know people would ask me... And after april??
so, many option:
in June, I would organize a art project with my friends from Benin... And everything will depend of this project, if I find association to support my plane ticket, I will have lots of free time to spend, I dont know exactly how I will spend it.
If I dont find an Association to support my plane ticket, I already have ideas to go back to Benin anyway
-first option (not really exciting): find a job to have in mai to have to money to go
-second option (really exciting): to go by the road, by bus from marocco to benin, and travel a lot and have lots of new adventures (but I am still waiting for an answer of my friend GG about this idea!)
and so, always the idea for July to go in Ireland to be human statue, and normally, I should go back in the Balkan, in Montenegro in August to realize a project for young people that I am writting with my sweet italina friend Irene...
then, september... back to school is an idea. To live in Paris, and get a good master to work in NGOs and... continue to travel!
